Scorpion Vortech VX24 OffRoad Helmet
(Lake Forest, CA September 14, 2010) Off-roaders suffering from sensory overload can breathe a sigh of relief, courtesy of the bold clean lines of the new Vortech VX-24 helmet. "Scorpion has nothing to hide, so rather than baffle customers with circus graphics we would rather focus on the features and benefits of our VX-24," says Scorpion National Sales Manager Jon Eide. "Think of the new Vortech as a breath of fresh air!"
Rather than gaudy graphics the Vortech gets real world features such as Scorpion's trademarked AIRFIT® technology taken from the top-of-line roadracing helmets and adapted for off-road use. "Scorpion is pumped about its all-new off-road lid, literally," explains Eide. "Simply put, you can pump up the cheek pad inflation system along the jaw line to ensure the perfect fit." In addition to the perfect fit, the VX-24 maximizes protection as the polycarbonate shell is combined with Scorpion's state-of-the-art dual density EPS liner to absorb maximum energy. In fact, the combination of a sturdy shell and pliable EPS inner liner ensure the helmet meets or exceeds all Snell/DOT safety standards.
Above and beyond passing the protection test, Scorpion's KwikWick® washable moisture-wicking comfort liner keeps riders cool no matter how hot the action is on the MX track. Speaking of cool, the Aero-tuned front ventilation system and redesigned rear exhaust ports ensure plenty of airflow over the top of the scalp. While they were at it, the Scorpion engineers also redesigned the mouthpiece at the front of the chinbar to flow more air without skimping on protection.
The chinbar wasn't the only piece getting a revamp - the rubber nose roost shield now deflects more debris without reducing the generous goggle/eye port area. Capping all the technical improvements off, the bold Vortech graphics keep things clean. However if the Blue/Red/Gray color schemes are still too much, the VX-24 is also available in solids. Sizes start at extra-small and range up through 2XL, so Scorpion has you covered, no matter what size your noggin is. Best of all, you can breathe easy since Scorpion still offers a full three-year warranty.
Scorpion's Tornado Jacket
(Lake Forest, CA September 3, 2010) Sound the storm warnings! Scorpion's Tornado textile jacket is set to blow into dealerships this Fall... and blow away the competition. From the tough 600-denier outershell to the removable CE-approved armor inside the shoulder and elbow pockets, this Tornado is packing a punch! Externally, the ballistic nylon fabric is treated with polyurethane to pump up the water resistance when a storm is blowing, while internally, the removable EverHeat™ liner keeps the breeze at bay. Speaking of the severe blows, adjustable sleeve tension straps make for a custom fit and keep things from flapping in the breeze in excess of triple digits.
However, there are times when a little breeze is nice, so Scorpion's AirVent™ ventilation system was incorporated into the Tornado's design. Consisting of two zippered high-flow air intake panels in the front of the jacket with two rear vents, the AirVent™ is intended to maximize airflow over the body's core when the panels are unzipped and to seal things up tighter than a drum when the rider doesn't want cold air whistling in.
Need more bells and whistles? Further enhancing the high-speed safety aspect is a full-length back protector pocket (complete with a P.E. foam insert) and all seams are sealed with Scorpion's exclusive ExoStitch® seams. Generously sized zippered hand-warmer pockets and NightViz reflective panels front and rear further enhance functionality of the Tornado textile jacket. Available in men's sizes S-XXL.
When the Tornado blows in, it sucks to be wearing something inferior! Scorpion has you covered when it comes to ExoSkeletal protection... and protecting your wallet as the MSRP is well under $200!*
Scorpion Attack Jacket
(Lake Forest, CA September 1, 2010) Tired of the same old styling? Then it is time for the latest Scorpion ExoWear™ jacket. Aptly named the "Attack", this jacket breaks all the rules by combining a garment intended for serious street riders with the casual good looks of your favorite hoodie. "Versatility and good looks are combined in the all-new Attack jacket... er, hoodie", says Scorpion National Sales Manager, Jon Eide. "Or maybe we should call it a hooded jacket?"
Call it what you will, the Attack fills the bill as both protective gear and as a fashion statement. Since the best offense is a good defense, the durable 600-denier ballistic nylon outershell is bolstered by CE-approved ventilated armor at the elbows and shoulders to protect the rider. To fight off the cold, the full sleeved hooded liner can be inserted into the Attack shell to keep riders plenty comfortable even as the mercury drops.
Adding to the versatility is reflective trim on the arms and back for enhanced visibility as well as arm adjustment tabs. Generous zippered handwarmer pockets provide added convenience, and there is an internal stash pocket for valuables as well. Speaking of your stash, the Attack is priced so you can break all the rules without having to dig too deeply into your pockets or break the bank - retail priced from $199.95. The Attack hooded jacket is fully covered by Scorpion's full 3-year warranty.
Scorpion Admiral Jacket

From the tough 600-denier outershell to the removable CE-approved armor at the shoulders and elbows, the aptly named Admiral warrants a salute from serious riders everywhere.
"Weapons grade" ballistic nylon panels at the shoulders and elbows offer abrasion resistance. Further enhancing the high-speed safety aspect is a full-length back protector pocket (complete with P.E. foam pad insert). Speaking of speed, Velcro® arm adjustment tabs and cuffs keep things from flapping in the breeze in excess of triple digits. Attention to the smallest details adds up to make the Admiral the ultimate all-around touring/adventure jacket. For example, all panels are sealed with Scorpion's ExoStitch® seams. Additional details include NightViz™ reflective trim on the arms, front and rear for improved night time visibility; built-in belt-loops to attach matching XDR pants, and the two large waterproof storage pockets. Two additional handwarmer pockets are augmented by two generous internal storage pockets as well... you can never have enough cargo space when embarking on a major voyage, right?
While the XDR Collection's wide array of technical features is really cool, the new Admiral keeps riders plenty warm when there is a storm brewing. The removable Everheat® ThermoShell inner liner provides a soft thermal skin that works in conjunction with the Admiral's EXOskeletal protection. The ThermoShell combines a wind/water resistant barrier with a luxurious fleece-style lining for full four-season riding in a wide range of temperatures. And when the mercury does rise, Scorpion's KwikWick® washable moisture wicking comfort liner and AirVent® panels front and rear help keep riders cool.
Hot or cold, inside or out, when it comes to ExoSkeletal protection, Scorpion has your back. Best of all, all this coverage won't cost you an arm and a leg. With a MSRP under $200, even penny pinchers will be saluting the Admiral!
Scorpion Urban Destroyer Helmet
(Lake Forest, CA May 17, 2010) - It is survival of the fittest in the urban jungle, so Scorpion has decided to cry havoc and let slip with the latest EXOskeletal protection system: The Urban Destroyer! Designed to keep streetfighters cool no matter how hot the action gets this summer, the Destroyer jacket starts with a vented poly mesh shell, bolstered by fully ventilated CE-approved body armor at the elbows and shoulders.
The poly mesh shell also gets ballistic nylon panels in the high impact areas for when you are in a tight scrape, not to mention the fact that the Urban Destroyer also has your back, literally. There is a full-length back protector compartment, complete with a P.E. foam pad in place. Internally, a lightweight perforated liner makes for maximum air flow.
Additional refinements include two generous hand warmer pockets as well as an interior storage pocket. Reflective trim has been incorporated on the arms and back of the jacket for improved nighttime visibility. Dual waist-adjustment snaps and Velcro® arm adjustment tabs help keep the jacket or sleeves from flapping at triple digit speeds. The Urban Destroyer jacket comes in a basic black, bright blue or vivid red, ranging in size from S up through XXL.
Capping things off are the matching EXO-400 Urban Destroyer helmets. Featuring an advanced polycarbonate composite construction, the shell's aero-tuned design has been wind-tunnel tested to ensure things stay quiet inside when all hell is breaking loose outside. The SpeedShift® quick-change shield system makes for simple, tool-less faceshield changes in less than 10 seconds. Speaking of shields, Scorpion's optically correct faceshields are treated with anti-scratch hardened coating and the exclusive EverClear® no-fog technology. Although the destroyed urban environment graphics look killer, these lids will not lay waste to your wallet as the EXO-400 retails for right around $159.95.
Scorpion Skull Bucket Helmet
(Lake Forest, CA April 29, 2010) - What is it about skulls? Whether it was the skull and crossbones flag pirates on the Spanish Main used to signal no quarter or the warning label on a poison bottle, skulls have historically been used to instill fear and serve as a warning to steer clear! The same message applies to Scorpion's all-new SkullBucket ExoWear™ jacket and matching EXO 400 series helmets. Flying the SkullBucket flag serves as a warning to urban warriors on the mean streets that no quarter will be asked... or given!
The bad-ass SkullBucket jacket is as tough as it looks. Starting with a 600 Denier outershell, the jacket gets ballistic nylon panels in the high impact areas, further bolstered by CE-approved armor at the elbows and shoulders. There is also a full length back protector compartment, complete with a P.E. foam pad. Beyond the body armor, the water-resistant polyurethane coated fabric works in conjunction with a removable full sleeve EverHeat™ thermal liner to keep riders warm and dry even when Mother Nature decides to unleash her wrath.
In addition to the overtly menacing exterior, subtle refinements abound. There are two generous hand warmer pockets as well as an interior storage pocket. Reflective trim has been incorporated on the arms and back of the jacket for improved night-time visibility. Additional highlights include snap-operated arm adjustment tabs to keep sleeves from flapping at triple digit speeds and belt loop tabs for pant attachment.
Just like the original Jolly Roger pirate flag, the SkullBucket jacket comes in a menacing black and white to strike fear into the hearts of fat merchant men. Speaking of which, sizes range from S up through XXL! If you are looking to take no prisoners, score a SkullBucket jacket and matching helmet without having to pay a pirates ransom.
